United Sim Army 82nd Airborne Division is a part of United Sim Army Teams (USAT), a gaming organization that specializes in military sim games. The way we are organized for most games is classic United States Army rank and organizational structure, modified to suit our organizational needs. We have two types of members: Enlisted and Officers.
Enlisted only have to agree to follow the rules and training requirements of whatever unit they wish to join. Otherwise, there are no responsibilities. Just join and play. Enlisted earn rank by their in-game performance.

Officers do most of the organizing, recruiting, training and contribute the most towards the organization. Officers start out as 2nd Lieutenants, and earn promotions based on time in service/grade, contribution to the unit, and how well they did their job. Officers agree provide higher presence, and do most of the work in USAT. The scope of authority and responsibility is limited to the rank and file below them, and have some freedom to make their own policies and training requirements as long as they are within the rules and policies of USAT, and United Sim Army 82nd Airborne Division. If anyone is uncomfortable with their unit, they can always request another unit. USAT supplies the tools needed for officers to train, set policy, and organize a roster for their unit.

The type of people we try to recruit are age 17+, emotionally mature and get along well with others, and are 'drama' free. Being active in the game, both in game and on comms, is a must as we use TeamSpeak to strengthen the community bond, and provide communication in-game. While we have many former and current military members and give them preference, it is not a requirement for joining. We give preference not because of anything to do with the game, but because of the teamwork, comraderie and character military service brings. We are not a realism clan. Our goal is to provide a stress free atmosphere for gaming in cooperation with others. We prefer to call ourselves a 'Team', and not a clan. We are looking for members willing to make an effort to build cooperative team play, (TEAM) and not run-and-gun individual play (CLAN). Most of us are mature adults who like to come home after a day of work and relieve stress. However, if training and excellence is your thing, we provide the tools for that as well.
