You have an AA3 Account name, which isn't related to your game name. You have a game name(s), each tied to a seperate honor/training track.
If you go to account settings, there is a CLAN setting to put in the prefix example I listed in the 1st post.
This allows for rank changes.
The only problem with this method is that the game names are unique, and you cannot change them, just delete them and start training over again. You couldn't pick "John" for example. In fact, "Shad" was already taken.
If there was a way to omit your game name and just have the prefix/suffix listed, we might explore that.

When I connected to AA3, I saw a box asking me for my clan.
Should I input the 82nd tag on there or on the AA3 account website?also, what exactly do I need to input?

Now that AA3 supports names, you can have your 82nd tags now.
Unit/Clan Name for me would be: "-82nd_DXO_COL="

With my soldier name being "Shad", I now show up in AA3 as "82nd_DXO_COL=Shad"

The negative sign means it is a prefix tag to your soldier name. In otherwords, your soldier name automatically gets put after the '='
I have verified that this works. The only remaining problem is that you cannot change your soldier name, which, in a way, is better. You can now have more than 19 characters.

Also, new recruit emails sent out to applicants once you place them will now give these instructions, as well as the updated BattleTracker instructions.
