Sorry, I still had the old way of doing it in the game client in my mind (which may still work.dunno)
When you lauch AA3, it first comes up with the launcher window, with the option to PLAY NOW or choose Personnel Jacket, Host a Server, ect. Choose Personnel Jacket, and edit your soldier.
For my example, 'Unit Name' is 82nd_DXO_COL=
and "Add Unit Name before Soldier Name" is selected

Please do not make 82nd_..._...= part of your soldier name. It will change often. Instead, change your clan prefix whenever your roster name changes.
For example, my soldier nmae is Shad.
my clan prefix is -82nd_DXO_COL=

The negative sign means that it gets prefixed to your soldier name.
