Originally posted by: 82nd_B1_SGM=Jimbo I've tried a bunch and here's how I rank them: #1: Norton...large database of viruses...but it reallllllly messes with AA. Like closing ports and crap like that. #2: Live One Care. I love it. No problems ever with AA. #3: Kapersky. Very good. #4: Sophos. Got it free from school, and it works wonders. However, don't use it if you have AA installed...it quarantines all the .dll's and I couldn't find my quarantine file...so I had to reinstall AA.

Originally posted by: 82nd_B1_SGM=Jimbo Ummm, Live One Care isn't free. I paid and got a long subscription to it and all that jazz. Never heard of the one you're talking about. If it indeed does reinstall itself like that, I highly doubt that it's a legit AV program.
Try going into your Windows drive and to Program files. Look for the root folder for that AV program and deleted anything you can. Then use the Add/Remove Programs to uninstall it. It'll probly say something like "The program you're trying to remove cannot be found...etc" then u should be good...I hope.

Steps: 1: Add/Remove Programs>uninstall Total Security Version 4.52 2: Ctrl>Alt>delete and pull up the task manager. 3: look in the "Processes" tab for 34854385.exe or something like that, just click that number and close it 4: immediately begin installing your new AV program.
Just get a 30-60 day trial for now. When you install the real AV programs they check for existing ones, and they'll completely remove them.
